Extended information Cookie Policy

CHIARA FIRENZE SRL Via del Lavoro 2a50056 Montelupo Fiorentino (FI)

Extended information on cookies installed by the website www.chiarafirenze.com (hereinafter the “Site”) of the company Chiara Firenze srl (“ data controller ”), pursuant to Regulation (EU) 679/2016 (“GDPR”) and national law.

Chiara Firenze srl, with registered office in Montelupo Fiorentino (FI), CAP 50056, Via del Lavoro 2a, PI n° 06788070487, Email info@chiarafirenze.com , PEC chiarafirenzesrl@pec.it , Switchboard +39 0571 541622, uses cookies to improve the user's (' interested party ') navigation on its website.

Definition of cookies. – Cookies are small text files that the sites visited send to the browser used by the user for navigation and in which they are stored to be then retransmitted to the same sites on the next visit made by the user with the same device. They are used for different purposes: execution of computer authentication, monitoring of sessions, storage of information on specific configurations set by the user (e.g. language), etc.

Types of cookies. - Cookies received by the user on their computer or other device can be set either by the owner of the sites, or by different sites or web servers, on which some elements present on the site that the user is visiting reside, such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, links to web pages of other domains, etc. (generally, these different sites or web servers belong to suppliers of platforms for the creation of websites, which set certain cookies in order to collect and use information useful for sending advertising). Based on the subject that sets and sends the cookies, we distinguish:

  • first-party cookies , to indicate the cookies set and sent by the site the user is visiting,
  • third-party cookies , to indicate cookies set by a site or web server other than the site the user is visiting.

The distinction is relevant in order to identify the respective roles and responsibilities, since the owner of a site is the data controller with regard to the cookies installed by his own site and not to third-party cookies, for the latter he is only required to include in his own information notice the updated link to the information notices and consent forms of the third parties (an obligation that, in the case of indirect contacts between the owner of the site and the third parties, as in the case in which the former has turned to dealers, can be fulfilled by linking the site of the intermediary in which the connections with the third parties are collected).

Another important distinction must be made based on the purpose fulfilled by the cookies, for which a distinction is made between:

  • technical cookies : these are used to guarantee the user the best use of the site and are further divided into:
  • navigation or session cookies , which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access reserved areas),
  • analytics cookies , which are assimilated to technical cookies when used directly by the site owner to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and on the navigation methods and times,
  • functional cookies , which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to the user,
  • profiling cookies : these are used to collect information about the user in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the internet.

Finally, another distinction is based on the length of time (duration) of the cookies on the user's device, for which they are distinguished into:

  • session cookies : these are automatically deleted when you stop visiting the site or when you close your browser,
  • persistent cookies : these are stored permanently on the user's device until they expire or are deleted by the user.

Acceptance or refusal of cookies. – The installation of technical cookies does not require the prior consent of the user, without prejudice to the obligation to provide information pursuant to art. 13 GDPR.

For the installation of profiling cookies , however, given their invasiveness in the private sphere of users, European and Italian legislation requires that the user must be informed about their use and the need for their consent. For this reason, when accessing any page of the Site, a banner (information strip) is activated that contains a brief information on cookies (including a link to this extended information ) and on the request for consent, consent can be expressed in a simplified manner with the methods indicated in the banner, or selectively by following the instructions provided in the following paragraph.

Failure to provide consent will only result in the user not being able to use the site correctly.
